Mogwai + Stuttgart Review
“Strange Forces” sind die Vorband von MOGWAI, ein uns nicht bekanntes Trio, die derzeit laut der Myspace-Seite in Berlin residiert, ursprünglich aber aus Australien kommt. Eine EP der Band ist am Merch-Stand bereits ausverkauft, wie der Interessent schriftlich mitgeteilt bekommt. Das könnte ein Hinweis sein, dass die drei Jungs gar nicht schlecht ankommen. Mein erster Gedanke als es losgeht: Krautrock-Beat, schon mal sehr gut, die Gitarre sehr fuzzy, das ganze driftet auch schwer ins Psychedelische, die überwiegende Anzahl der Stücke sind ohne Gesang. Unser Fotograf nennt das Ganze in der Pause “Drogenmusik”, und recht hat er. Freunde obiger Styles sollten ein Auge auf die Band haben.” – by www.gig-blog.net
